Job Description
Responsibilities
The postdoctoral scholar is expected to work in close collaboration with other group members / academic partners on research projects in the field of chemical and/or biological sensors. Nanoparticle-decorated nanowires are employed as sensing elements, making use of the high surface-to-volume ratio and reactivity of these nanomaterials. The main task of the postdoctoral scholar is to study novel nanoparticle-decorated nanowire devices in terms of functionality and sensor mechanism, which includes cleanroom fabrication, electrical characterization and sensor application.
Qualifications
1- Ph.D. in physics, materials science, or equivalent discipline.
2- Experience with electronic devices, cleanroom processing, and nanomaterial characterization
3- High English language competence.
4-Programming skills (Matlab, Labview) is an advantage.
Term
Full-time, fixed term appointment for 1 year with possibility of extension for three years. Contract initially with 3 month probationary period (inclusive).

In accordance with the OIST Employee Compensation Regulation.
