Applications are invited for a Research Fellow Position in the newly established low energy electron microscopy (LEEM) group within the School of Physics & Astronomy at Cardiff University. Applicants will utilise LEEM to investigate site controlled quantum dot formation with opportunities to interact with researchers at the EPSRC Centre for III-V technologies, Hitachi Cambridge Laboratories, IBM, USNRL and IQE. The position requires a strong experimental background relevant to the application of LEEM to the study of nanoscale growth mechanisms. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to running the LEEM laboratory, contribute experimental research that will generate high impact journal publications and present their work at international conferences.

The position is funded for three years and is available immediately.

Salary: £40,082 - £46,414 per annum related to qualifications and experience.
