In the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Program of the Department of Biomedical, Industrial & Human Factors Engineering (BIE) at Wright State University, we are looking for candidates to take an active part in the research and development of novel optical imaging instrumentation and computational methods for noninvasive imaging of the brain function and cancer at preclinical and clinical settings. The candidates will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with neuroscientists, engineers and physicians at the Neuroscience Engineering Collaboration building, which houses the Wright State University & Premier Health Neuroscience Institute, a University System of Ohio Center of Excellence, in which biomedical research expertise is integrated with clinical resources to improve the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.

Qualifications: The qualified candidates should have a strong background in diffuse optical imaging. Particularly:
• Diffuse optical tomography (DOT), diffuse optical spectroscopy (DOS).
• Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy (DCS).
• Strong programming skills and experience with Matlab, Labview and C.
• Expertise in instrumentation development, hardware control and signal acquisition.
• Previous experience with CCD cameras, LEDs, lasers, structured light illumination, spatial light modulator, digital light projection (DLP).
Additional Information: The position may be extended up to 3+ years depending on the high level of research performance. Highly competitive salary may be negotiable with respect to the experience in the field. Different titles may be offered after about third year depending on the experience and availability.
