The Computational and Experimental Neuroscience Laboratory (University of Arizona) is looking to fill a postdoctoral fellow position. The research project is geared towards understanding the role of reactivation (a.k.a neural replay) in spatial navigation, planning and memory consolidation during sleep. Applicants with a subset of (or interests in being trained in) the following skills are strongly encouraged to apply:

- Scientific background in the hippocampus and/or sleep and/or prefrontal-cortex
- Behavioral neuroscience and animal training (rat preferred)
- Biophysical computational modeling (NEURON or other simulators)
- Electrophysiology (high density chronic behaving, wireless, or in vitro)
- General laboratory skills (e.g. histology, surgery)
- Optogenetics
- 3D printing and CAD
- Matlab programming and spike-data analyses
- Labview programming
- Lots of energy and teamwork spirit !

The project is multi-disciplinary and involves collaborations with other researchers nationally and internationally. Good communication skills are required.
