Postdoctoral Research Associate in Stem Cell Biology and Cell Differentiation

The burgeoning Stem Cell/Regenerative Medicine Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Department Pharmacology is seeking an experienced scientist/postdoctoral research associate in stem cell biology to lead the Stem Cell Core. Candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD with experience in designing and performing mammalian stem cell experiments as well as molecular biology expertise (real time PCR, gene silencing, viral transduction to stem cells, genome editing with CRISPR technology).
Job duties include generation and maintenance of pluripotent, adult and postnatal stem cells, development of stem cell lines with genome modifications using genome editing tools and standardization of stem cell differentiation protocols. This is a hands-on lab-based role at the forefront of the Genome Editing technology and iPSCs technology with a focus on developing stem cell platforms. The ideal applicant should have extensive prior experience with mammalian ESC/ iPSC generation, culturing of mammalian cells.
