Postdoctoral Position in Cell Line Engineering : Stockholm, Sweden

KTH Royal Institute of Technology, together with major industrial partners, extensive private funding, Uppsala University and Chalmers university of technology is now launching the Wallenberg Center for Protein Research headed by Professor Mathias Uhlén. One of the work packages in the center aims to create novel human strains for large-scale production of human biologics and will include more than 20 people working on different aspects of strain development.

Several postdoctoral appointments with a main focus on genetic engineering of cellular pathways are now available. Interested and highly motivated candidates will be given the opportunity to participate in an innovative project with a holistic approach on strain and bioprocess development, using state-of-the-art techniques for genetic engineering such as CRISPR/Cas9, omics analyses and perfusion bioprocessing.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in molecular biology and genetic engineering of mammalian cells, preferably for bioproduction. Experience with different omics-techniques and bioinformatic analysis is of high value. Excellent communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English, and the ability to carry out research projects independently as well as in a team is essential.
