Post-Doctoral Fellow : Kansas City, KS, United States

Position Summary: 
A Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Subhrajit Saha, Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Kansas University Medical Center. The candidate will conduct research focusing on the role of macrophage/myeloid in tissue homeostasis, regeneration and malignancy. The candidate will be also involved to screen and validate novel radio-sensitizers for pulmonary and/or colonic malignancy.

Job Duties: 
• Besides conducting research the candidate will be involved in manuscript and grant writing, presentation of ongoing research in national meetings. 
• It is expected that candidate will participate in laboratory hands on training for the summer students and will also help the graduate students in the lab. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
• The successful candidate should have a recent Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields or an MD, with a strong research background in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology and cancer biology. Expertise in flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and mice genetics is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Candidates with research background in Gastrointestinal Physiology will be preferred.
