Postdoctoral Researcher in Cancer Epigenetics Laboratory : Philadelphia, PA, United States

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Laboratory of Cancer Epigenetics headed by Dr. Irfan Asangani in the Department of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine and Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. The laboratory investigates the role of chromatin regulators in cancer pathophysiology by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach from high-throughput sequencing based techniques, molecular biology, biochemistry, in vivo mouse models of cancer, and pharmacological interventions.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, flexible and collaborative individual who is detail-oriented with the ability to multitask. The candidate will lead projects aimed at unraveling the complex interplay between different chromatin regulators mediating transcription in normal physiology and in the context of tumor cell metastasis. Towards this, the candidate will apply Genetic, biochemical and cell biological as well as genome-wide approaches (e.g. RNASeq, ChIPSeq, 3Cseq, Methylseq).

Qualifications:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in cancer biology, epigenetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and/or biochemistry.

Candidate can begin as early as March 2016.
