Job Description
Postdoctoral position available for highly motivated individuals interested in exploring the exciting fields of stem cell biology relevant to eye development and human disease. This project will make extensive use of human pluripotent stem cells to model retinal eye development, perform small molecule high content chemical screens to probe cell signaling mechanisms and gene-editing to create cell type specific reporter cells and to knock out or down developmentally important or disease associated alleles. Developing stem cell based disease models will also be one of the goals. Candidates should be independent minded and have a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Experience with stem cells is highly preferred. Experience with RNAseq is a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
