We now have an exciting opportunity for two Postdoctoral Research Fellows within the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine (DTHM) at James Cook University (JCU).  JCU is committed to creating a brighter future for life in the tropics world-wide through graduates and discoveries that make a difference. These two full-time, fixed-term appointments to June 2019, will be based at the tropical Cairns campus.

Our Division

The roles reside in a newly-established health and medical research institute within DTHM, the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine (AITHM).  AITHM’s focus is on research in tropical health and medicine across a wide range of disciplines with a particular focus on northern Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.

In these critical roles, you will work as part of a collegial group of professionals committed to research that aims to have broad application to a wide range of infectious and chronic diseases, with important implications for vaccination. This will be achieved through the provision of valuable leadership of project teams, including the development and implementation of project plans, resource management, scheduling and reporting.

As a self-motivated, team player you have the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and will support the delivery of high quality outcomes.  Your demonstrated experience in cellular and molecular immunology and strong interest in systems immunology and computational science will also be highly regarded.
