丹麦科技大学超高速光通信与纳米光子理论与信号处理研究博士后职位
Responsibilities and tasks:
With the granting of the two new complementary CoEs SPOC and NATEC II, researchers at DTU Fotonik will now gain a unique access to the most advanced nonlinear platforms for optical signal processing.
The aim of this Postdoc project is to seize this opportunity and conduct advanced optical signal processing research using advanced photonic integrated devices based on silicon and III-V (InP and AlGaAs) material platforms.
The Postdoc will
• investigate low-energy all-optical signal processing using photonic wires and photonic-crystal waveguides,
• perform detailed optical characterisation of the devices and perform optical communication systems experiments with them in the scenario of high bandwidth and low energy consumption,
• contribute to modelling, design and fabrication of the devices, in close collaboration with team members of the CoEs SPOC and NATEC II; a thriving collaboration between young and ambitious researchers with different areas of expertise is expected.
The Postdoc will be expected to spend up to 20% of her/his time on student activities, such as co-supervision of PhD, MSc and BSc students.
The Postdoc may also be involved in general dissemination activities as needed in the CoEs relating to e.g. web pages and other types of outreach.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent.
The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, curious, capable of independent thinking and interested in close collaboration with fellow researchers.
The candidate should have a strong background in experimental photonics, including optical characterization and optical communication systems. Experience in ultra-high-speed transmission and optical signal processing is preferred.
The candidate should be able to work independently on characterization and advanced system experiments as well as collaborate with other researchers in the High-Speed Optical Communications and Nanophotonics Theory & Signal Processing groups.
We offer:
We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international environment focusing on education, research, public-sector consultancy and innovation, which contribute to enhancing the economy and improving social welfare. We strive for academic excellence, collegial respect and freedom tempered by responsibility. The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is a leading technical university in northern Europe and benchmarks with the best universities in the world.
Salary and terms of employment:
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
