Postdoctoral Position in Oral Care Polymers
Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

A post-doctoral research position is available at the University of Michigan beginning March 1, 2016 to work in the development of functional polymers as active agents used in oral care products. The person appointed will be based in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences, School of Dentistry and will work under the supervision of Professor Kenichi Kuroda. We are seeking an outstanding individual with a Ph.D. in chemistry, engineering, or a related discipline with prior experience in polymer synthesis, surface characterization, and biomaterials. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in living/controlled radical-mediated polymerizations. Enthusiasm for top-quality research and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team will be highly appreciated. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications. The initial appointment will be for one year; the 2nd year appointment depends on performance and funding.
