Postdoctoral Position In Intestinal Stem Cell Biology : San Francisco, CA, United States

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Ophir Klein, M.D., Ph.D. at UCSF to study the biology of mammalian intestinal stem cells. Our work combines genetic and developmental studies with stem cell-derived organoid approaches. We are interested in the behavior of intestinal stem cell populations (Tian et al, Nature, 2011) as well as the signaling pathways that regulate them (Tian, Biehs et al, Cell Reports, 2015). The laboratory is located at the UCSF Parnassus Heights campus, in the center of San Francisco. UCSF offers an outstanding stem cell biology community and a supportive working environment. The successful candidate should have a background in mammalian biology, and experience in intestinal biology is preferred but not required.
