A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. The research goal is to understand the anatomical and functional organization of hippocampal neural circuits that underlie human mental behavior, with a hope that the outcomes of our research will lead to the development of new therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat, and cure neuropsychiatric disorders. A successful candidate will focus on understanding neuronal connectivity and function of hippocampal neural circuits in normal and diseased brains by using viral and genetic reagents in rodent models.
Our lab is seeking highly motivated, independent, and creative individuals with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with laboratory expertise in neuroscience, genetics or related fields. Extensive experience in animal experiments is strongly recommended.
