Postdoctoral Fellows in Molecular Systems Biology/Computational Biology of RNA : Newark, United States

We have two open positions for motivated Postdoctoral Fellows.

One position (Molecular Systems Biology) will involve Molecular Biology and Genomic techniques to study mechanisms and consequences of alternative cleavage and polyadenylation with cell line and animal models. He/she is expected to use cutting-edge wet lab techniques, such as genomic engineering, single cell analysis, stem cell manipulation, and deep sequencing, to address physiologically relevant questions. Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology or a related field. Experience with animal models is a strong plus but not required.

Another position (Computational Biology) will involve computational biology techniques to study aspects ofRNA, including RNA structure and RNA metabolism (transcription, processing, translation and decay) in single cells and in human populations. The individual will also develop novel algorithms to be used for specific methods. Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related field. Experience with data analysis of deep sequencing is required.
