Post-doctoral positions are available immediately in the Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. The research positions involve the use of mouse models of brain cancer to study how tumor cells co-opt blood vessels in the brain microenvironment. The post-doc will receive training and mentoring in the use of pre-clinical mouse models and in vitro culture systems to study signaling pathways involved in tumor-endothelial cell interactions in the normal brain and in the malignant brain cancer, glioblastoma. A strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology is required.

Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD, a strong work ethic, a clear enthusiasm for basic and translational brain cancer research, and first authorships on peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals.
