Dr. Jackson Egen in the Oncology and Inflammation department at Amgen, Inc. is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the area of cancer immunology. This Post-Doctoral-Fellow will utilize in vivo animal models and in vitro culture systems to identify mechanisms by which myeloid cells interact with and shape the tumor microenvironment, with an emphasis on identifying novel regulatory pathways involved in cross-talk between macrophages/dendritic cells, T cells, and stromal populations. The Post-Doctoral fellow will be expected to run an independent research project within the context of a highly collaborative environment with access to state-of-the art technologies and resources.
Amgen Post-Doctoral mentors will help you develop a strong network within the organization and with academic collaborators, facilitate timely publication of your research, and expose you to other organizations within Amgen in order for you to gain industry experience.

The assignment length is expected to be 3 years.
Basic Qualifications
PhD at the time of appointment
Preferred Qualifications
• PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, or Oncology
• Expertise using in vivo mouse models of cancer and/or inflammation, multi-color flow cytometry, isolation and culture of primary cells
• Record of independent critical thinking and the ability to design, execute, and interpret experiments, as exemplified by publications
• Expertise in innate immune biology and/or immuno-oncology
