Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chromosome Segregation : Oxford, United Kingdom
Salary: Grade 7: £30,434 –£37,394 p.a. (pay award pending)
We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to characterise the function of kinetoplastid kinetochore proteins in the laboratory of Dr Bungo Akiyoshi.
Applicants should possess or be in the process of completing a PhD and must have proven expertise in protein biochemistry, cell biology, biophysics or structural biology. In addition, candidates are expected to have a high impact first author publication and be proficient in molecular biology. You must also be highly motivated and interested in chromosome segregation and have the ability to run the project independently.
This full-time post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and Royal Society for a fixed-term of up to 2 years in the first instance.
