Postdoc In Vascular Biology : Uppsala, Sweden

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Taija Mäkinen at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology (IGP) at Uppsala University.

IGP provides a well-developed infrastructure for advanced molecular sciences. Several prominent vascular biology groups have recently been recruited to the department, creating an inspiring frontline environment for vascular research.

Research in the lab focuses on discovering fundamental mechanisms controlling vascular morphogenesis and functions. The selected candidate will work on an ERC-funded project to study vascular-bed specific mechanisms of lymphatic vessel formation by utilising and developing advanced mouse genetic tools and cell and molecular biology techniques.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a PhD in a relevant area and a proven track record of successful scientific work. Strong background in molecular/cell biology, mouse genetics and/or imaging is required.
