Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Eukaryotic Genetics

The Functional Genomic Laboratory is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow trained in the area of molecular mammalian genetics. Applicants should have proven skills in forward or reverse genetics using human or mouse cell lines and practical experience with the discovery of genes responsible for specific phenotypes or with the identification of phenotypes associated with the expression of specific genes. Experience in mammalian cell culture, gene silencing, next generation RNAseq, and basic bioinformatics and is needed. This postdoctoral position will involve studies in inter-cellular communication and will focus on efforts to identify genes responsible for the generation of bio-active short RNAs found in EVs, or determining phenotypes of cells harboring mutations in the EV sRNAs. Experience in the study of extracellular vesicle (EV) biology is desirable.

Postdoctoral Position in Protein Biochemistry

The Functional Genomic Laboratory is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow trained in the area of protein biochemistry. Applicants should have proven skills in protein purification and characterization. Experience in mammalian cell culture and/or clinical samples are desirable. This postdoctoral position will involve studies in inter-cellular communication and will focus on efforts to identify proteins responsible for the selective enrichment, generation of bio-active short RNAs found in EVs, or co-factors that determine phenotypes in responsive cells. Experience in the study of extracellular vesicle (EV) biology is desirable.

Requirements:

Successful applicants should possess a PhD/MD degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics or related fields.
