德国德雷顿罗斯道夫研究所物理学或材料学博士后职位
The position is related to microscopic characterization of Si nanodots in Si-based nanopillar structures for application in Single Electron Transistors (SETs). The position will be available from 01.02.2016. The employment contract is limited to two years. The regular working time will be 39 hours per week. The salary is based on the collective agreement TVöD-Bund. The place of work is Dresden-Rossendorf.
Requirements:
- PhD in physics or materials science
- long-term hands-on experience in electron microscopy, in particular analytical transmission electron microscopy of inorganic materials
- preferably experience in electron and atom probe tomography
- willingness to travel in Europe (project meetings, working stays)
Tasks:
The research of the successful candidate will be performed in the framework of a European project on extremely low power consuming SETs for mobile electronics. The main task is the structural and morphological characterization of the Si-based nanostructures and devices as input for simulation and modelling activities as well as for the optimization of the nanostructures fabrication performed by the consortium partners. More specifically the work will cover the followings tasks:
- electron microscopy analyses of Si-based nanostructures (e.g. by SEM, conventional TEM, EFTEM) including optimization of specimen preparation
- three-dimensional morphological characterization of Si nanopillars using electron tomography
- Si nanodot characterization by atom probe tomography (in cooperation)
- combined electron and atom probe tomography studies
