Applicants should hold a recent Ph.D. in economics and should pursue research in empirical or theoretical aspects of international trade or related relevant fields. We expect a strong and proven quantitative background, and experience in the acquisition, handling and processing of research data. Besides publishing in high quality academic journals applicants should also have some interest in disseminating research to policy makers.
Being internationally renowned in research and policy consulting, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy provides excellent support to potential candidates who are interested in developing their career in research. The position is initially for two years but may subsequently be extended. Salary is determined according to the salary scheme of the German public sector (EG14 TV-L). The position is full-time; part-time employment is possible.
