Job Description

A Postdoctoral researcher position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Omar Tliba within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University. The focus of the laboratory is to study the mechanisms underlying steroid insensitivity in asthma. Successful candidate will be investigating some of the mechanisms of corticosteroid receptor dysfunction in airway cells.

We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals capable of executing research independently. Candidates require a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell biology, Pharmacology, Physiology, or related Biological Science, along with a publication record.

Required skills: tissue culture, flow cytometry analysis, cell cycle analysis, proliferative assays.

Preferred skills: in vitro kinase assays, in vivo animal model of asthma, and immunohistochemistry.
