摘要:

Postdoctoral fellow in computational biology/bioinformatics : Toronto, Canada

We are seeking a post-doctoral fellow in computational science/bioinformatics to work in a collaborative project at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto, Canada. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of Drs. Mathieu Lupien and John Dick. Fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and home to members of the Faculty of Medicine, the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is part of one of Canada's largest hospital-based research centers. As one of the top two cancer research institutes in North America (USA and Canada) the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre fosters a rich academic and collegial environment.

The project will consist of developing new and adapting existing computational approaches to understand the epigenetic basis of hematopoiesis and blood cancers. Specifically, this will involve working with next-generation sequencing data derived from RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ERRBS-seq, ATAC-seq and the likes. Candidates should have a strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics or biostatistics, hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field, be looking for a collaborative and dynamic environment, and have a track record of productivity and innovation. Prior experience manipulating massively parallel sequencing datasets is an asset but not a requirement. The salary of this yearly renewable position will be established according to institutional guidelines.
