摘要:

Postdoctoral Associate : New York, NY, United States

A postdoctoral position is available at The Rockefeller University, under the guidance of Charles Gilbert and Winrich Freiwald and under support of theBRAIN initiative, for interdisciplinary work on the cortical mechanisms of object recognition and the dynamics of information processing. The experiments will combine visual psychophysics, fMRI, large scale high density electrode array chronic recordings and optogenetic manipulation, and are tightly integrated with modeling work. Using this integrated approach, we will determine how active vision affects information processing at different levels of the visual cortical pathway and the effective connectivity between these levels. The project will address fundamental questions of brain function applicable to the brain as a whole.

Candidates should, ideally, have a Ph.D. in neuroscience with a strong background in physiological and analytic techniques.

Interested individuals should send a c.v. and the names of three references with a subject line “systems neuroscience postdoc position”. The position is available immediately, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Additional Salary Information: The University has salary ranges for postdocs by year of training, so there is flexibility with respect to compensation.
