Optogenetics in Cancer Research : Paris, France
A post-doc position is open to work on a project at interface between physics and cancer biology. The project exploits cutting-edge biophysical technologies to understand the contribution of the Ras-Ral signaling axis to cancer and to characterize the underlying molecular mechanisms.
The Ral GTPases are key players in the transduction of tumorigenic signals down-stream the Ras oncogene. The post-doctoral fellow will take advantage of a powerful and innovative technology, Optogenetics, to control in time and in space Ral activation and to dissect the direct cellular/molecular events downstream activated Ral, with a specific focus on motility and autophagy. In addition, the project consortium will characterize the dynamics of Ral localization by PALMsuper-resolution microscopy at single-molecule level and of Ral activity by Ral biosensors based on FRET(fluorescence resonance energy transfer).
We seek a highly motivated candidate with a physics or cell biology background, with experience in advanced live microscopy and computer-assisted automated image analysis.
Net salary is approximately 2250€/month for 2 years.
The candidate will profit of all the social/health benefits of Curie employees.
Interested candidates, please send application (CV, motivation letter, 2-3 recommendation contacts
