A post-doctoral position is immediately available in the Department of Pathology, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Our laboratory utilizes a combination of human patient samples including correlated clinical data, cell culture systems, and mouse models to understand the role of the Hippo pathway and the downstream transcriptional activators TAZ and YAPin cancer, with an emphasis on sarcomas. Candidates with a strong background in molecular biology, cell culture, and mouse modeling of cancer are encouraged to apply.
Required qualifications include PhD, or MD/PhD, experience with sterile technique and culturing cell lines, good communication and writing skills in English.
Desirable qualifications: Experience with molecular biology, bioinformatics/analysis of data sets, experience analyzing genetic mouse models, experience analyzing xenograft/orthotopic mouse models.
