Background
The Institute of Medical Sciences is offering the opportunity for a dynamic highly motivated suitably experienced post-doctoral research scientist to work in the newly commissioned Stem Cell Research and Advanced Bio-Engineering Laboratory.
The Role
The position requires excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact effectively with other postdoctoral fellows, and graduate and undergraduate students, in a fast-paced environment; excellent organisation and time management skills; and initiative and ability to plan, carry out, and troubleshoot complex studies with minimal supervision and at the highest scientific standards.
The candidate is expected to have relevant research experience and a good publication record.
Requirements
The successful candidate will report to Professor Anan Shetty, Director of Stem Cell research at the IMS, conducting research involving regeneration of cartilage and musculoskeletal tissues and the mechanism of stem cell–induced regeneration.
The ideal candidate will have experience with stem cells, molecular biology, and tissue regeneration.
Prior experience in stem cells, in vivo cell tracking, and/or signalling study will be beneficial. Candidate’s expertise should be documented in peer-reviewed research articles.
Additional Information
This post is fixed term for 3 years. A part time job share opportunity maybe considered.
