This post is for a position in Professor Andrew Sewell’s research group as a postdoctoral researcher. Within this role, the applicant will be expected to be involved with a number of research projects based primarily around the investigation of T-cells and their role in disease. Additionally, the applicant should have excellent personal skills, and a record of setting up collaborations, managing research groups and personally writing grants and/or publications. We are looking for an individual with relevant, first author, high-impact publications.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in immunology or a relevant biological science discipline. You will be experienced in a range of immunological and molecular biological techniques including flow cytometry, PCR, cell culture TCR sequencing and repertoire analysis. A willingness to develop skills in other laboratory techniques and to help supervise a team of graduate students and research staff would be beneficial.
We are seeking an ambitious motivated candidate who has the potential and drive to progress their career to personal fellowship level and has aspirations to run their own team within the Institute of Infection and Immunity at Cardiff University School of Medicine.
