Postdoctoral positions in Molecular Neuroscience.
The laboratories of Drs. Ted and Valina Dawson and Shaida Andrabi seek applications for positions to study molecular mechanisms of neuronal cell death and poly(ADP-ribose) signaling pioneered in the Dawson lab.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a PhD or MD/PhD degree in the fields of neuroscience, molecular biology, cell biology, neurology, viral vectors, stroke and mitochondrial biology. Required is a demonstrated record of achievements and publications. Candidates are expected to have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational and communication skills and critical thinking abilities. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
2 positions are currently open
1) Position is open to study poly(ADP-ribose) signaling. Candidates should have a background in protein biochemistry or molecular biology.
2) Position open to study basic mechanisms of cell death. Expertise in in mitochondrial biology or animal models of stroke is preferred. Candidates with experience using viral vectors, stereotaxic surgery, and microscopy are preferred, but not essential.
