A postdoctoral research position in vascular biology is available immediately in the laboratory of Nick Flavahan at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. The laboratory embraces a multidisciplinary approach to vascular research, with major projects focused on identifying molecular and physiological mechanisms regulating postnatal maturation of arterial structure and function, and the mechanisms contributing to the development of vascular disease. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in vascular biology with prior experience in studying the molecular and/or physiological regulation of the vascular system. Candidates must have (or expect to receive) a PhD, MD or MD/PhD degree, have prior publications and be hard-working and motivated to pursue innovative scientific research.
