Description of Position:
Post-doctoral Researcher position in Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children Hospital-Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center is available. The laboratory focuses on understanding the interplay between cell metabolic pathways and cell signaling cascades, and how such interplay impacts on cell fate determination (cell death, proliferation, growth and differentiation) in the context of tumorigenesis and immune response. Current research models include, but not limited to: Mouse genetic models in modeling de novo tumorigensis, inflammation and autoimmunity; frog oocytes in modeling cell cycle transition and cell death; primary cells (immune cells and MEFs) in modeling ex vivo physiological responses; transformed cell lines and related xenografts in modeling tumor growth and therapeutic strategy.
Qualifications:
Candidates with a Doctoral degree (in pending or obtained in a year) in Immunology with a focus on cancer immunity are preferred; experiences on mouse studies are required; candidates with first author research papers published or in press in visible international journals are strongly preferred; the successful candidates should be highly motivated, have good verbal/written communication skills and be willing to work both independently and cooperatively within a team.
