Job Description

 

The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is excited to announce the Postdoctoral Recruitment Forum is now accepting applications. Senior graduate students who have completed or expect to complete their PhD in 2015 or 2016 are able to apply in order to participate in the forum, which takes place from September 10 to September 12. While preference will be given to United States citizens and permanent residents who are training grant eligible, exceptional international applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The deadline for applications is Thursday, July 30 at 5:00 p.m.

The experience is unmatched in the advantages it offers participants at a preeminent educational institution.

Candidates selected for participation in the forum will receive full funding for travel, lodging and meals. They will also be eligible for a $7,500 UI Postdoctoral Scholarship Award. As part of the forum, participants will be able to present their research to faculty, interview with multiple prospective mentors, and network with UI postdocs.

The research enterprise of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine garnered $203.6 million in external funding in FY 2014. According to 2015 US News and World Report, research in the Carver College of Medicine is ranked 11th among public institutions. UI Carver College of Medicine faculty members are also some of the most productive when measured by NIH dollars.
