Postdoctoral Scholar Positions
University of California, Irvine
Postdoctoral scholar positions are available immediately to study epidemiology and vector biology of malaria parasites. Areas of particular interests are: 1) molecular epidemiology, 2) population genomics of malaria parasites or mosquitoes, and 3) infectious disease modeling. The positions will involve considerable field work in Kenya, Ethiopia or Southeast Asia. The candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and possess an outstanding publication record. Candidates should have a strong background in one of the following areas: epidemiology, ecology, genomics, bioinformatics or molecular evolution. Prior experience on mosquitoes or malaria parasites is not required.
