Postdoctoral Researcher in Medical Physics : Sapporo, Japan
Content of work: The collaborative research project between Stanford University and Hokkaido University is focused on image guided radiation therapy. Research experience in medical imaging (image reconstruction, processing, and analysis) is required. The candidate will be supervised directly by Dr. Ruud Vinke and will work with Dr. Shirato and Dr. Umegaki at the department of radiation medicine, Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics, engineering, computer science or a related field and experience in numerical analysis/programming (e.g. C++, MATLAB, etc.) is required. Candidates must be able to communicate in English, and the ability to communicate in Japanese is preferred.
Treatment: Full-time, 1-year contract (annually renewable)
Starting date: 1 Sep, 2015 (negotiable)
