摘要:

Development of Novel RNA Analysis Technologies

Job Description

Come work at the exciting intersection of synthetic biology and molecular medicine!

The Larman laboratory, housed within the Department of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, develops and deploys cutting edge technologies for the study of human disease. Much of our work utilizes massively parallel DNA sequencing as a readout for new molecular assays. Examples of our platforms include: phage display of synthetic peptidome libraries for comprehensive antibody profiling; ribosome display of ORFeome libraries for antigen discovery, protein-protein interaction studies, and drug target identification; and ultrasensitive, multiplex RNA quantification techniques to monitor gene expression and detect microbial threats.

We are currently seeking strong applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship to work on a new RNA analysis platform. Expected outcomes include high impact publications and potential opportunities for industrial commercialization.

Applicants should be highly motivated, independent, and very hard working. Experience performing complex nucleic acid analysis protocols is required. Familiarity with basic cell culture techniques is strongly preferred. Experience with computation/bioinformatics is preferred but not absolutely required.

To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter summarizing your qualifications and research accomplishments to hlarman1[at]jhmi[dot]edu.
