We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to join our multidisciplinary research team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Cell biology and should hold a Ph.D. degree in one of these fields. Preference will be given to candidates with a recent Ph.D. and solid first author publications to demonstrate experience.
The research in our lab is focused on studying the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying the aging process, with the goal of utilizing this knowledge to develop novel therapies for age-related diseases. In our work we utilize next-generation sequencing and a combination of novel computational and biochemical approaches to pursue quantitative analysis of the factors that lead to or accompany aging in living organisms. Prior experience with analysis and interpretation of next-generation sequencing data (including RNA-seq and ribosome profiling) is highly desirable, but it is not a requirement. Necessary training will be provided for a motivated candidate. Interested candidates should send a CV, contact information for three references, and a brief letter describing their experience, research goals, and reasons for the interest in this position to Dr. Vyacheslav Labunskyy, vlabuns [at] bu.edu
