Postdoctoral Fellow- Molecular Neurobiology : Birmingham, AL, United States

The laboratory of Mood Disorders and Translational Research is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study the molecular neurobiology of major depression using animal models, human postmortem brain, and peripheral blood cells. The major focus of this research is to characterize the role of miRNAs, long non-coding RNAs, and epigenetic modifications in this disorder. Applicants having a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, DNA/RNA sequencing and bioinformatics will be preferred. The candidate is expected to work independently and should have strong written and oral communication skills. Candidates with a recent Ph.D. degree and experience in the above mentioned disciplines should apply with a CV, statement of research interest, and a list of three references to:
