法国临床前目标平台(CRCM)工程师/研究助理职位

Engineer/Research assistant – TARget pre-clinical platform (CRCM)

A position is available for an engineer/research assistant to work with the TARget pre-clinical platform (CRCM). The job involves the development of in vivo preclinical mouse models to analyze the therapeutic use of monoclonal antibodies and nanoparticles. The contract will be issued by Aix-Marseille University with A*MIDEX funding.

Principle activities:

  • Implementing protocols for preclinical research using mouse models with the awareness of ethical consideration when working with small animals.
  • Developing preclinical models for orthotropic mammary xenograft and metastatic tumour mice models.
  • Participating in the technological development and image acquisition of live animals using optical and bioluminescence methods.

Other related activities:

  • Surgical intervention of small animals and preparation of surgical equipment.
  • Following tumour development (measuring tumoural volume and optical imaging).
  • Administration of different therapeutic compounds.
  • Verification of animal health during the experiment.
  • Analysis and evaluation of different types of results and scientific discussions with the principle investigator.

Experience required in:

  • Small animal surgery
  • Understanding and appreciation of different ethics and regulation.
  • Experience in cell culture methods, in vitro and in vivo imaging.

Working environment

All in vitro work will be carried out in the research laboratories based in the CRCM. All in vivostudies will be in the animal husbandry facility in the CRCM.

The person recruited will work with the TrGET preclinical platform CRCM/IPC. Team work is necessary to ensure the wellbeing and routine running of animals in the animal house.

Necessary qualifications:

A research assistant or engineer with a least BAC+3.  Qualifications in animal experimentation (level 1 or 2) or experience in small animal surgery would be highly appreciated.
