A postdoctoral research fellowship position in cognitive neuroscience is available at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo. Projects addressing brain mechanisms underlying adaptive cognitive control functions in the human brain, through the use of functional brain imaging methods, will be prioritized. The fellowship period is 3-4 years. A 4 year position includes 25 % teaching requirements, supervision of students, etc. The application deadline is February 2nd 2015.

Eligibility: -In assessing the applications, special emphasis will be placed on the quality of the project description and on the scientific publications submitted by the applicants, and on personal and professional qualities for completing the project within the given time frame.
-The appointment requires a PhD or a degree equivalent to a Norwegian PhD in psychology. A prerequisite for applicants who have not yet defended their thesis, is that the PhD work is submitted for assessment before the closing date for applications. Appointment to the post-doctoral position is dependent on the public defense of the doctoral thesis being approved.

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Cognitive Neuroscience

A post-doctoral research fellowship position in cognitive neuroscience is available at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo. Projects addressing brain mechanisms underlying adaptive cognitive control functions in the human brain, through the use of functional brain imaging methods, will be prioritized. Both healthy and brain injured samples may be focus of research, and collaboration with national and international research partners are welcomed. The post-doctoral research fellow is expected to participate in one of the research groups at the department, and to contribute to the development of research within one of these fields.

Duration of award(s): The fellowship period is 3-4 years. A 4 year position includes 25 % teaching requirements, supervision of students, etc. Post-doctoral research fellows who are appointed for a period of four years are expected to acquire basic pedagogical competency in the course of their fellowship period within the duty component of 25 %.
