Postdoctoral fellow – Protein Biochemistry and Degradation

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Dr. Samir Khleif’s lab in the field of cancer immunology with special focus on protein biochemistry and degradation at GRU Cancer Center. The group conducts research in the areas of tumor immune modulation, targeted immunotherapy, immune cell signaling and mechanisms of tumor cell-immune cell interactions. Understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the function of different immune cells is integral for modulating the anti-tumor immune response.

The selected candidate will be an important part of a versatile scientific environment and should contribute towards its further scientific achievements.  Applicants should possess a PhD degree and 2-3 years of research experience in a related field of research.  Candidates should have a strong background in cell biology, protein biochemistry and protein degradation. The candidate should have at least, 2-3 years of research experience in in different molecular biology techniques. Writing scientific manuscripts, possible grant applications in addition to preparation of audience appropriate scientific presentations forms an integral part of this role.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and should demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team. Stipends are commensurate with educational credentials and research experience.
