A postdoctoral position in Tumor Immunology is available in Dr. Xiaoxia Li’s group within the Department of Immunology, Cleveland Clinic Foundation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in tumor immunology and/or immunotherapy of cancer, with an in-depth understanding of the molecular and cellular processes involved in the anti-tumor host immune response, including dendritic cell cross presentation of tumor-associated antigens, T-cell polarization and trafficking, peripheral tolerance, and the T-cell suppressive tumor microenvironment. The ideal candidate will also have experience with common techniques utilized in mouse models of human cancer including adoptive immunotherapy, dendritic cell differentiation and maturation techniques, and functional T-cell assays including flow cytometry-based assays. A successful candidate should have completed, or be nearing completion of a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD. The fellow will engage in an exciting project combining the laboratory’s unique expertise in immune cell signaling with clinically translatable immunotherapy approaches in melanoma.
