摘要:
A postdoctoral fellowship opportunity is available at MD Anderson Cancer Center on the role of epigenetic drivers in pancreatic cancer. Our laboratory is exclusively devoted to translational research in pancreatic cancer, and has made numerous seminal contributions to understanding the pathogenesis of this disease over the last decade. We are currently conducting functional annotation of recurrently mutated epigenetic drivers in pancreatic cancer using in vitro and in vivo models.

We are seeking exceptional and highly motivated postdoctoral fellowship candidates who have an interest in cancer epigenetics. Prior experience in studying chromatin biology and/or epigenetic regulation in cancer is highly desirable (this does not include running methylation specific PCR assays - we are not looking for someone with biomarker expertise). Essential qualifications include expertise with mouse models and molecular biology; desirable qualifications include expertise with protein biochemistry and genome editing technologies.

Preference will be given to candidates that are recent graduates and are eligible for applying for fellowship grant opportunities. Preference will also be given to US citizens or permanent residents, or at the very least, candidates already in the United States. Please do not apply if you are >4 years out from your graduate school. Please send names of three references and a one page writing sample that encompasses your interest in studying pancreatic cancer epigenetics and what you hope to accomplish in this fellowship. There will be ample opportunities for multi-disciplinary collaboration, grant and manuscript writing, and career advancement (conferences and workshops) as part of this fellowship.

Please send pertinent information to Anirban Maitra at amaitra@mdanderson.org.
