Postdoctoral Fellow- Tumor Immunology, Inflammation and Cancer

To serve as a Postdoctoral Fellow under general supervision of the Principal Investigator Dr. Dev Karan conducting research on projects in tumor immunology, inflammation and cancer. The research will be aimed at determining the mechanistic role of inflammation-associated molecules in growth and development of cancer as well as examining the preventative and therapeutic efficacy of plant products.

Requires a Ph.D. in Cancer Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology or other related field of biomedical sciences.

The applicant should be self-motivated, able to design and conduct experiments, prepare and present their work at meetings, and write scientific manuscripts. Should have knowledge of hazards of laboratory activities and related safety practices, skill in setting up, care and use of laboratory equipment, and ability to develop and assist with development of new and improved methodology.

Prior experience with in vivo studies and in the area of cancer immunology/inflammation with live animals or experience in mouse models related to cancer is a plus.
