Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neuroscience, Menzies Institute for Medical Research, University of Tasmania.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team of researchers, working to understand the importance of white matter plasticity in nervous system function and its contribution to disease. In particular this person will investigate the role of neuron-glial communication in regulating oligodendrocyte production and myelination in development, adulthood and disease models.

Applicants must have completed a PhD in Neuroscience or a relevant area and be experienced in electrophysiological techniques. Experience in whole cell patch clamp analysis of neural cells in acute slices is essential, while experience recording from cultured cells or cultured slices is desirable.
