Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen A full time Postdoc position is available at University of Copenhagen, for a highly motivated and independent candidate. The position is open for one year with the possibility of extension. Job description The successful candidate will join a research group developing novel therapeutic protein based compounds to combat cancer as well as infectious diseases. We work closely together with biopharmaceutical industry and are focused on translating our research into compounds that can be rapidly transitioned to human clinical trials. Based in Denmark the candidate will be responsible for a pre-clinical drug-conjugation program in close collaboration with Canadian researchers. We offer a position with great potential for publication in high impact journals and the potential to participate in the development of next generation therapeutic compounds.

Description

The position involves design, planning and management of technician’s daily work, as well personal execution of key experiments related to protein expression, purification, protein conjugation, and stability studies. The candidate will also be expected to coordinate work between international partners. The candidate will join a team of dedicated researchers and will have access to state of the art molecular biology equipment. You will have the benefits from working in close collaboration with the private industry – while at the same time have the freedom and possibility of doing truly explorative experimental work with a significant potential to impact on human health. Required qualifications The applicant must have -A Ph.D. degree or similar qualifications in pharmacology or biological sciences -Fluency in English and excellent communication skills -Expert user of Äcta hardware and Unicorn software -At least 2 years of project management experience and familiarity with GXP Preferred qualifications We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in both theoretical and practical bio-chemistry, who is able to work independently and at the same time take the responsibility of planning other peoples work and communicating with other research teams. Emphasis will be given to applicants with industrial work experience.
