We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the research group of Professor David Vaux at the Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford.

Reporting to Professor Vaux, the postholder will be a member of the research group with responsibility for carrying out research as part of a BBSRC funded research programme that aims to define the molecular machinery responsible for the regulated induction and resolution of the nucleoplasmic reticulum (NR), a branched network of invaginations of the nuclear envelope found in many cell types. The postholder will provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including postdocs, research assistants, and PhD and project students.

Applicants should have a PhD/DPhil in cell biology or a related subject, together with relevant experience. You should be able to manage own academic research and associated activities and contribute ideas for new research projects. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings are essential.

The post is available as a fixed-term contract for 3 years.
