The Biology Section at the Experimental Therapeutics Programme at CNIO is devoted to the biochemical, cellular and pharmacological characterization of the compounds synthesized by the Medical Chemistry Department in the programme. The section develops two main activities biochemistry, cellular and early ADME High-throughput screening assays (HTS) and molecular and functional pharmacology characterization of the compounds.
We seek a PhD. The position involves the pharmacological characterization of the molecules developed by the department at ADME-T level and its pharmacokinetis and pharmacodynamic profile.

Requirements
- A PhD in Biomedical Science. The candidate should have at least 2 years of postdoctoral stay and 4 years experience in antitumoral drug development investigation with emphasis on in vitro ADME-T characterization, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics,
- Strong experience working with liquid chromatography mass spectrometry equipment (LC-MS) developing methods for each compound in order to detect and quantify it in biological samples (plasma and tissues) following FDA guidelines.
- Experience in vitro ADME-T assays to guide structural modification, predict in vivo performance, develop structure-metabolic stability relationships, and triage compounds for in vivo animal studies as kinetic solubility, permeability (PAMPA), plasma protein binding, microsomal stability , cytochrome and herg binding.
– Demonstrated working experience in preclinical formulation and stability in different fluids.
- Experience in mice manipulation (oral and i.v. administration). Design, execution and interpretation of pharmacokinetic studies using the software Winnonlin.
- Experience in generation and interpretation of pharmacodynamic data or Knowledge of the concepts.
-Demonstrated working experience within chemistry-biology multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- High level of english, both written and spoken
- Capacity for teamwork and motivation
