Post Doctoral Research Fellow

PML has an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) to contribute to the growth in its science area through excellent and novel science in the following area of research: 

- Project #3: Next generation ecosystem models;

PML’s expertise, knowledge and outstanding facilities are used to address key marine environmental issues, such as the impacts of global environmental change on the structure and functioning of marine ecosystems, and the sustainable management of ecosystem goods and services. In addition, PML co-ordinates two long-term observation projects, the Western Channel Observatory and the Atlantic Meridional Transect programme, and is a delivery partner of NERC National Capability research.

Benefitting from the strong links between PML and the University of Exeter, the four PDRFs will be awarded Honorary Research Fellowship status with the University, giving them access to additional facilities and resources. The four PDRFs will join a further 2 post-doctoral fellows recruited recently.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have proven experience in

• research methods and data analysis;
• a track record of publication in research;
• excellent scientific writing skills;
• familiarity with mathematical/statistical concepts appropriate to the chosen science area;
• experience of research collaborations;
• communication in an interdisciplinary environment;
• a PhD in the relevant project area.
