Postodoctoral Research Assistant in QD Charge Transport and Nanostructure Manufacturing

Grade 7: £29,837 - £36,661 p.a.

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join Professor Kim’s research group at the Department of Engineering Science in central Oxford. The post is funded by the ERC Advanced Grant funded project “Universal Framework for Charge Transport in Quantum Dot Systems (UniQDS)” and is available for 2 years.

The post aims to develop a technology and manufacturing platform for the 3D-integration of sophisticated components and sensors with CMOS technology being the sound foundation for cost efficient mass fabrication. The work will involve a great deal of nano structured carbons and their composite design and synthesis, fundamental analysis and characterization, and viable integration technologies and new/potential applications. You will conduct research, prepare reports and partake in collaborative work.

You will have a PhD in materials science, electrical engineering or a closely related subject with sufficient knowledge in processing of nanostructured materials/composites and computational simulation/calculation on charge carrier transport. Experience in the fabrication of nanostructures through solution based synthesis methods and nano fabrication techniques is also required.
